In preparation for starting work on a new Shader novella, set after the events described in The Archon’s Assassin, I decided to give the series a fresh new look. Click on the cover for more information.
I’m looking for reviewers for book 1: Sword of the Archon, so please let me know if you’d like a free ebook or audiobook review copy. Thanks!

I’ve got a copy of Sword of the Archon (thanks for that very much), but it seems that Smashword shows the new covers, but if you buy the book you got the old version of the book. I’ve read Legends of the Nameless Dwarf, and I liked it very much, but I learned that the book took place after the Shader books. So I would like to buy all Shader books, but, please, in the new version.
Hello Martin. Thanks for picking up a copy of Sword of the Archon. At this stage, the only thing we’ve changed is the cover as displayed on the retailer sites. The interior files remain the same. That said, on Amazon, Kobo, and (I think) Google Books, the new cover image has also been added to the interior file.
At some future point, I hope to release the new covers as print and hard cover books, but before that I need to find time to prepare them as new editions throughout.
Here’s a link to the Shader series on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074C3NZ5F?ref_=dbs_r_series&storeType=ebooks
The search inside shows the new covers, and I just downloaded the sample of book 3, and that also had the new cover.
All the best!
Hi Derek,
thanks for your answer. I was afraid there were some text changes also and I would miss something. Now I can buy the Shader books I am missing. 🙂
Best regards,
Martin
btw I’m giving away review copies of Last of the Exalted (the end of the Nameless Dwarf story arc) on Smashwords for this weekend only. Here’s the link: https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/1020226
Enter code HU44V at checkout.
If you can, please leave a review on Amazon/Goodreads/Smashwords.
Thanks!
Thank You very much!
I’ve got my copy right now.
I will leave a review, but I have to read all the Shader books and afterwards the new versions of the Nameless Dwarf books also.
So many good books and so little time!
Best regards,
Martin
